This will be an interesting night! Geoff and Agnieszka Moxon will be doing a presentation on "Cycling in Estonia". Estonia is a land of meadows and marshes with a cooler climate that lends itself beautifuly to biking. It has a rich architectural history with the old city centre of Tallin designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A presentation not to be missed.

Wednesday: 18 December

Col Halpins  Unofficial CMW Pre XMAS PARTY. This year we will be celebrating at Cabarita Park from about 6.00pm to 8.30pm. Lovely location on Parramatta River (we have been here before many years ago)– BYO everything we will base ourselves around the covered area just west of the pool . Water is available but vehicles must be outside the park by 7.00pm ( I suggest dropping off your stuff then park your car outside on Cabarita Rd so you don’t get locked in!). Note toilets are also locked at 7.00pm . If the weather is crook don’t come. For any further info ring me on 98761685 – no emails or mobile. Hope to see you there and let’s hope the weather is better than the previous 2 years! Merry Christmas to you all. Map
Wednesday 8th January: Burwood RSL Club Meeting
Robert Jung will be doing a presentation entitled "A little about Hamilton Hume, but more about walking on the Hume and Hovell walking track"
Robert says that "any discussion of the actual track should include the contributions of Hamilton Hume. Bushwalkers and Sydney based ones especially, should be interested in him given what he did and how. A much more significant figure in the history of this country than say Myles Dunphy who I will compare him with.  I have come to appreciate that from walking parts of the track and reading relevant literature which that inspired" It promises to be an interesting evening!
As always - our Club meetings start at 7:30pm in a conference room upstairs. Have dinner with CMW members beforehand from 6:15pm in the Brasserie Restaurant on the ground floor.
Wednesday 22nd January: Restaurant Evening
Looking for someone to arrange a restaurant evening. Any takers?

The Social Secretary occasionally emails members to remind them of the next clubroom meeting as well as other social activities. If anyone is interested in arranging an extra social activity such as a restaurant night (which are usually held, but not limited to, Wednesday nights where there is no Club meeting), please contact the Social Secretary:
