Coast and Mountain Walkers Meetings and Social Program

Club meetings are held at Concord High School on the second Wednesday of the month at 8pm in the Theatrette, Stanley Street, Concord, opposite the playing fields, UBD - 233 M 8 (Google Map).


CMW acknowledges the Wangal people of the Dharug nation as the traditional custodians of the land on which these activities are held.


Restaurant nights are nominally held on the fourth Wednesday of the month, and begin at 7.30pm unless otherwise advised.





Sept 26: Dinner Evening

Dolcissimo Restaurant, 96-100 Ramsay & corner Dalhousie St, Haberfield. BYO bottled wine (we think). See Dolcissimo for details and map. Meet from 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start.  Please contact Therese Horsington on or in the clubroom by no later than Sat 22 Sept.

Gardens of Stone N.P. by Matthew Stephenson. " An image presentation from my bushwalks and photography of this excellent National Park." (moved from  Aug  8)

Oct 24: Dinner Evening

Essence of North India, 124 Wicks Road, North Ryde. Wine available, but may be BYO as well. See essenceofnorthindia for restauant details and here for map. Meet 6.45pm for a 7pm start. Contact Sara Maywood on or in club room by 20 October.

Note: Don’t worry about parking; plenty available here.


Nov 13: Dinner Evening

The Kirribilli Hotel, 39 Broughton Street, Milsons Point; it's a pub which is close to the Milsons Point railway station.  Come out of the railway station on the Ennis Road side.  Restaurant details and map. 7.00 p.m for 7.30 p.m. Being a pub, there is no BYO.

Note that this event is a re-make of the 25 July evening, which didn’t quite go as planned. Not in our usual time slot, it is timed to follow the Tuesday walk. Walk particpants and all others are welcome.

Dec 2: Christmas Event

CMW Christmas Party at  Memoral Park, Meadowbank. Time 10.00 am onwards.  A fun social picnic day. Christmas party details here. Organized by Peter Oliver.


Dec 12: Clubroom Evening

Quarterly General Meeting. Following will be: Walking and Cycling in Taiwan and China, a short slide presentation by Sandy Larson of walks and cycle trips in these countries in 2012 and 2013.

Jan 9, 2019: Clubroom Evening

Yellowstone National Park, USA, by David Bush. Skiing in this iconic American park, and staying in a yurt camp, February 2015.

The Social Secretary occasionally emails members to remind them of the next clubroom meeting as well as other social activities.
