Coast and Mountain Walkers Meetings and Social Program

Club meetings are held at Concord High School on the second Wednesday of the month at 8pm in the Theatrette, Stanley Street, Concord, opposite the playing fields, UBD - 233 M 8 (Google Map).


CMW acknowledges the Wangal people of the Dharug nation as the traditional custodians of the land on which these activities are held.


Restaurant nights are nominally held on the fourth Wednesday of the month, and begin at 7.30pm unless otherwise advised.




Dec 2: SUNDAY Christmas Event

CMW Christmas Party at  Memorial Park, Meadowbank. Time 10.00 am onwards.  A fun social picnic day. Christmas party details here. Organized by Peter Oliver.


Dec 12: Clubroom Evening

Quarterly General Meeting. Following will be: Walking and Cycling in Taiwan and China, a short slide presentation by Sandy Larson of walks and cycle trips in these countries in 2012 and 2013.

Dec 19: WEDNESDAY Christmas Event

Col Halpin’s Unofficial Xmas Party at Elkington Park, Balmain (Cnr White and Glassop Sts) from approx. 6.30pm to 8.30pm. Refer to GM-Elkington-Park. BYO everything (water and toilets are available). No need to book, and if the weather is bad the party is cancelled. If any questions call Col on 9876 1685.

Jan 22: TUESDAY Dinner Evening

Platia Greek Taverna, 109-129 Blaxland Rd, Ryde (Plaza of Top Ryde City Shopping Centre). See platia for restaurant details and map. Licenced premises; no BYO. Meet 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Contact Sandy Larson on 02-9808-1238 or or in club room by 9 January. Note: This restaurant evening is Tuesday not Wednesday, to take advantage of the Mon-Tue “all you can eat” special for $29.

The Social Secretary occasionally emails members to remind them of the next clubroom meeting as well as other social activities.
