Winmalee, Shaws Ridge, Grose Lookout, Grose Trig, Blue Gum Swamp Creek, Winmalee. Should all be on track, 15km. and about 500m total climb. DISTANCE: MEDIUM. TRIP GRADE: EASY/MEDIUM MAPS: Springwood, Kurrajong. TRANSPORT: TRAIN PLUS CAR AND TAXI
 

Sep 23,24   KANANGRA-BOYD NP (Q)
Weekend walk to celebrate people turning 60 this year. Loombah Plateau, Muggerah Gower, Spring Ridge, Willa Gowar, Hatchers Hollow(Camp) and out by the same way Great camp spot to relax and celebrate.   Sat 10am start and down for late lunch at Hatchers Hollow. Cascades, Governor Phillip walk, cross at Bungaroo, Rocky creek,Lindfield, Roseville and Malga Ave Roseville. DISTANCE: MEDIUM. TRIP GRADE: MEDIUM MAPS: Step1/2. TRANSPORT: $NOT MUCH OPAL CARD
 

Sep30-Oct2  ETTREMA (Q)
From the carpark on Greta Rd, walk 16kms along the Ettrema Plateau on the old 4WD track past Rogers Hill to a base camp at Manning Saddle. Day 2, with day packs, continue on to Possibility Point for superb views into Ettrema Gorge and Cinch Ck, then back to Manning Saddle. Day 3, return to the cars. Mostly on track, with mild scrub on the final km and a half to Possibility Point. No significant climbs, as we will be walking along an undulating plateau. Magnificent spring wildflowers are to be expected along the plateau, with time to photograph them. DISTANCE: MEDIUM. TRIP GRADE: MEDIUM MAPS: Nerriga, Touga, Yalwal. Sep30-Oct2  ETTREMA (Q)
Greta Rd, 4wd track, Bollards Cave, Passages of Time, Discovery Cave, Waterfall Cave, 4wd track, Greta Rd. This is my classic caves circuit taking in the 3 fabulous caves of the Ettrema Plateau and exploring the amazing Passages of Time rock formations. Mostly off track over undulating country with some scrub bashing. Tents/stoves optional. Suitable for fit prospectives. DISTANCE: MEDIUM. TRIP GRADE: MEDIUM MAPS: NERRIGA, SASSAFRAS. Oct 7,8   BLUE MOUNTAINS NP (q) - Bushcare
SAT. Tree planting and maintenance. Stay overnight in Green Gully cabins as guests of the NPWS. SUN. Walk to suit the party, Suggest: Megalong Road, Six Foot Track, shale tramway formation, Middle Creek trail, Green Gully Saddle, Megalong Road. Car shuffle proposed. DISTANCE: MEDIUM. Oct 8 (Sun)  BRISBANE WATERS NP (q)
Pindar Cave. Classic walk to this impressive sandstone overhang.  Enjoy the profuse spring flowers, including rock lilies if we are lucky.  Proceed to the waterfall, then return by the same route.  13km return, steep and rocky in places.  A great trip if you are new to bushwalking. Oct 14-30   SOUTHERN QLD AND NORTHERN NSW NPs (Q)
Approx two weeks of car camping with day and overnight walking in Kings Plains, Kwiambal, Sundown, Girraween, Bald Rock, Boonoo Boonoo, Richmond Range and Toonumbar NPs.  Car camping with day walks of different lengths, and an optional three day walk in Girraween NP.  Spectacular spring flowers and granite tors in some, rainforest in Richmond Ra. From Tahmoor, down the Bargo Gorge (rock hopping) to Mermaid Pool, return via tracks. DISTANCE: MEDIUM. TRIP GRADE: MEDIUM/HARD MAPS: Bargo. TRANSPORT: $26.
 

Oct 21,22   MORTON NP (Q)
Touga Rd, Boomerang Pass, Ettrema Ck, Murray Pools, Coolumburra, Touga Rd. This walk will give you a taste of this sublime wilderness creek meandering below towering sandstone cliffs. All off, track with a 300 m scree descent into the creek. Mostly easy flattish rock, hopping up stream with minor scrambling to a beautiful campsite under a grove of trees. Suitable for fit prospectives. Wet feet and possible waist deep wading depending upon height of creek. Waterproof packs. DISTANCE: MEDIUM. TRIP GRADE: MEDIUM MAPS: NERRIGA. TRANSPORT: $73.
 

Oct 21,22   MORTON NP (q)
A short, but steep and rough walk into a pleasant camp site on the Shoalhaven River.  From Badgerys Lookout, drop 400m into the Shoalhaven gorge and head upstream for a couple of km to camp opposite Tryers Gorge. DISTANCE: SHORT. TRIP GRADE: MEDIUM MAPS: Caoura. TRANSPORT: $54.

Oct 31 (Tue)  BLUE MOUNTAINS NP (q)
Lapstone Railway Station, Lapstone Zig, zag, Explorer's Rd Reserve, Darkes Common, Glenbrook Gorge Lookouts, Funicular Railway ruins, NPWS Visitors Centre, Glenbrook Gorge, Swim if weather amenable, Nepean River, Lapstone Railway Station. Leader has fund of historical anecdotes about the area and will attempt to add some interest to the day. DISTANCE: MEDIUM. TRIP GRADE: EASY/MEDIUM MAPS: Penrith 1:25000. TRANSPORT: $OPAL
 

Nov 2,3 Thu/Fri  BUNGONIA (q) - Bushcare
Two day walks. On Thursday we will help NPWS remove the invasive weed "tree of heaven" from the bottom of Bungonia Gorge, a 400m descent down a steep, rough track.  Car camp in the main camping area which provides hot showers, cooking facilities and tables and chairs.  Friday will be a shortish day walk allowing an return to Sydney mid afternoon. Nov 7 (Tue)  NSW CENTRAL COAST (q)
Umina/Pearl Beach/Umina (not the usual route!) Road, scramble, off, track, bush, track, fire trail, road. Those with tender shins should bring gaiters and, if the weather/water temperature is kind, bring swimmers and a towel. Coffee etc at Pearl Beach or we can walk on to Patonga and return via the fire trail.  Train from Central 7:15 am (Strathfield 7:28, Epping 7:40, Hornsby 7:55), #50 bus from Woy Woy Statio 8:50 am. Nov 10-12   SHOALHAVEN RIVER (q)
Matadoro Ridge, Little Horseshoe Bend, Washedaway Creek, Matodoro Ridge. Walk into base camp at Little Horseshoe Bend on Friday. Saturday day walk to Wine Glass Tor. This is all off track and for experienced walkers only - there will be many river crossings and lots of rock scrambling with a fair amount of scree thrown in. The rewards will be stunning campsite, incredible views and some adrenaline packed moments. Waterproof your pack. This walk will also appear on the BWOC calendar. DISTANCE: SHORT. Nov 17-19   DEUA NP (Q) - Three Days.
Camp at Berlang campground on Friday night. Walk to Big Hole and Marble Arch. Explore area north east of Marble Arch for night camp. (More details available closer to date). Walk out Sunday. Beautiful limestone sinkhole and marble rock. Party limit - 8. Stoves, gaiters compulsory. Need to cross Shoalhaven River at the beginning and end of the walk. Suitable for prospectives. Feb 13-22 2018   CENTRAL TASMANIA (Q)
Cynthia Bay, Lake St Clair, Narcissus, Pine Valley, The Acropolis, Lake Elysia, Lake Helios, Pine Valley, Narcissus, Echo Point, Cynthia Bay. An all track walk with the best sublime mountain scenery in central Tassie. Camping above the tree line amongst the glacial montane tarns in two base camps with optional day walks and climbs to easy and harder peaks including Mt Hyperion, Mt Geryon, Walled Mt and Macs Mt.
