  Manly to The Spit, exploring Crater Cove and Grotto Point, and a swim at Castle Rock or Washaway Beach, weather permitting.

  Canyoning Danae Brook. One of the most spectacular trips. This canyon is a must do Kanangra classic. A light and fast trip needed to get out before dark. Early start, wetsuits recommended. Experienced party limit of 5. Sunday left free in case we are back late. Barbecue dinner at Leader's house. BYO wine and meat, salad provided, contributions welcome!

Join me for a boulder hopping journey through the magic of Ettrema Gorge while the weather is still warm enough to enjoy the ample swimming opportunities this walk has to offer.

  Wentworth Falls Station to Valley of the Waters Conservation Hut. Maybe walk the Nature Track, then do Valley of the Waters to Wentworth Falls via National Pass Track. Return to WF Station via Darwins Walk.

  Snowy Gap, Bulls Peaks, Mawsons Hut, Valentine Hut, Strawberry Hill, Mount Jagungal, Jagungal Saddle, Snowy Gap. May reverse the direction if it gives us better weather on the mountain. Nice traverse of the high country.

  Carlons Farm, Mobbs Swamp, Yellow Pup Ridge down to Coxs River. Base Camp two nights (Fri/Sat) and return via Yellow Pup Ridge to Mobbs Swamp campsite (Sun). Return to Carlons Farm (Monday). Leisurely Easter Weekend - the Easter Bunny knows where to visit. Suitable for prospectives.

  Never Never Creek (Great Dividing Range), Razorback Creek, Coricudgy Creek, Holbrook Castle, Sheep Station Point, the Labyrinthine Ridge*, Coricudgy Creek, Razorback Ridge, Great Dividing Range. (*A David Noble name) Partly exploratory, possible high camps, exposure, rock scrambling, rough but really spectacular country.

Apr 2-5     (Q) NORTHERN KOSCIUSZKO NP
  Half Moon Peak, Mt Morgan, Mt Murray, Bimberi Peak. The aim is to camp high if the weather is suitable. Nice range of mountains on the boundary of NSW/ACT. Starting from Tantangara Reservoir near Adaminaby.

  Kanangra Walls, Cloudmaker, Moko Creek, Gentle's Pass, Kowmung River, Compagnoni's Pass, Tiwilla Plateau, Hundred Man Cave, Cloudmaker, Kanangra Walls. With 2 high camps, water may be a problem.

Apr 2,5     (Q) KANANGRA-BOYD NP
  Day 1: Batsh Camp, Baralliers Pass, Colong Creek, Mt Armour, Church Ck. Day 2: With day packs, ascend Inglis Selection Track to view Chiddy Obelisk, descend Blue Bush Ridge back to camp, pack up and move on to Broken Point for a nice campsite with pool. Day 3: Climb Donnellys Ridge, Mt Milo, Mt Colong and camp on top (there is a small spring up there but we may have to carry water). Day 4: Return to Batsh Camp via Colong Causeway and Kooragang Mtn with plenty of time for the drive home.

  Canyoning Sat - Heart Attack Canyon, Sun - Surefire Canyon. Visit 2 high quality canyons. Base camp out near top of canyons. Ropes supplied, wetsuits only optional not necessary, option to use mountain bikes to get out / back from canyons, must have own abseiling gear.   Mt Wilson, Tourist Track, Wollangambe River (pick up water for lunch), nameless ridges (part of the way on an old track) to Wollangambe Crater and River (usual nice campsite beside the river), return via trackless ridges to Bell Heavy Vehicle Inspection Station or to Bell via track and firetrail on easy ridges in the event of wet weather . Car dump required at Mt Wilson and Bell. Note: Abseiling Trips are classified as 'Dangerous Recreational Activity' under the Civil Liability Amendment (Personal Liability) Act 2002 NSW.

  Nerrimunga Creek & Shoalhaven River: in search of the fabled mother lode of the Tree of Heaven. Hillydale, Adit Hill and down Nerrimunga Creek to camp at the Shoalhaven. Morning stroll up river to Sluice Box Spur. Exit up Mt Wells.

Apr 12-20     (Q) NORTH/WEST AUSTRALIA
  Distance: Various km, Notes: Will need to acclimatise to the heat. I have a 4WD vehicle organised to leave Kununurra on 12 April for 9 days of walking, camping and exploring the Bungle Bungles. Trip will finish in Kununurra. Must be able to supply own gear including stove share cost of water containers. Exact route and sites can be negotiated by the group.

  Day 1: Kanangra Walls to 100 Man Cave (Ti Willa Plateau) via Cloudmaker. Day 2: 100 Man Cave, Compagnoni Pass, Gingra Creek, Kowmung Junction. Head up The Kowmung to campsite. Day 3: Gingra Track to Kanangra walls. Limit 8.

  Wog Wog track, Corang Peak, Camping camp, return via the Goodsell Basin. A brisk morning?s walk will get us to the lunch spot below Corang peak where we can admire the extensive coastal views. The afternoon will offer the opportunity for a stroll out to Yurnga Point, or for those inclined, a relaxing afternoon in a camping cave. Return to cars the next day via the Corang river and the Goodsell Basin.

  Mt Victoria, Victoria Falls LO, Victoria Falls, Burra Korain Flat, Grose River, Little Blue Gum, Blue Gum Forest, Govetts Creek, Junction Rock, then probably Rodriguez Pass to Govetts Leap, Blackheath. Classic longish walk that leader has not walked for some time. Probably camp at Little Blue Gum or late camp at Acacia Flat or "The Meadow".

  Gerringong, Bomaderry, Berry area. 2 Day rides, stay at Werri Beach Camping Ground (Cabin or Camp). Cycle the Country Roads in this scenic South Coast paradise. Reasonably experienced riders. BYO helmet, spare tube, high visibility clothing. Limit of 8. Day 1 approx 80km, Day 2 about 50km. Mostly flat with some hills.

  Mt Hay Road, Flat Top, The Pinnacle, Lockley Track, Mount Stead, Lockley Pylon, edge of escarpment and return, perhaps with an off-track side trips or walk along Fortress Ridge to Dr Darks Cave if time permits. Classic Grose Valley and beyond views if the weather is fine.

  Linden, Linden Ridge, Mount Twiss, Dawes Ridge, Wentworth Creek, Dawes Creek, Linden Ridge. Should be good views from the end of Dawes Ridge into the heart of the Grose Wilderness. Camping near the pristine Dawes Creek. Some firetrail walking. Gaters recommended for the rest. May use a handline to get into Wentworth Creek. Party limit of 8.

  Lawn Hill NP is about 200km N.W. of Mt. Isa, Qld. Trip to explore the northern end of this remote and beautiful National Park. Trip dates can be negotiated if required. Trip starts and finishes at Mt. Isa.

  Meet at Homebush Bay and ride to Botany Bay, have lunch and return to Homebush Bay. Most of the ride is on designated bike tracks with a few sections of road. The terrain is fairly level following the Cooks River catchment with not too much gear changing. Note: BYO helmet, bike, spare tube and high visibility clothing.

Jul 29-AUG 3     (Q) CENTRAL AUSTRALIA
  Call for expressions of interest in walking the Ellery Creek to Standley Chasm section of the Larapinta Trail. Participants will meet in Alice Springs and be transported to the track head at Ellery Creek. This is a marked track with magnificent arid country views.

Aug-Oct 2010     WESTERN AUSTRALIA
  Approx. eight weeks during the wildflower season of car camping, day and overnight walks, liloing, beachcombing and snorkelling in a selection of areas such as Millstream Chichester NP, Karijini NP, Rudall River NP, Ningaloo Reef, Kennedy Range NP, Mt Augustus NP and Kalbarri NP. 4WDs of Forester standard will do most areas, big ones needed for Rudall River.
